With only two nominees, this category becomes an interesting coin toss.
The title is already a 1988 Tony winner as Best Revival, but this new production of Cole Porter's Anything Goes boasts vivacious 2011 Best Actress in a Musical nominee Sutton Foster as evangelist-singer Reno Sweeney. Tony-nominated director-choreographer Kathleen Marshall keeps the high-seas musical — packed with easy-to-love hit songs — tapping along.
Pulitzer Prize winner How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying brings musical newcomer Daniel Radcliffe and Broadway newcomer (and 2011 Tony nominee) John Larroquette to the stage as young upstart J. Pierrepont Finch and corporate president J.B. Biggley, respectively, in Frank Loesser's 1960s business-world musical comedy satire.
