Playbill Video's "Tony Awards Preview" plucks moments from the performances in contention for this year's Best Actor in a Play award. Two-time Tony winner Al Pacino, as the vengeful Shylock in Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, squares off against previous Best Actor Tony winners Mark Rylance as a backwoods drug dealer in Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem, and Brian Bedford as the formidable Lady Bracknell in the Oscar Wilde classic The Importance of Being Earnest. Joe Mantello, a Tony-winning director, earns his second acting nomination for his role as famous gay activist Ned Weeks in The Normal Heart. Bobby Cannavale, also a two-time Tony-nominated actor, returns to Broadway in the dark comedy The Motherf**ker With the Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis. To see photos of the nominees, click here.
