Tony Award-nominated director Michael Greif (Next to Normal, Rent) sits down with Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner to talk about their most recent collaboration, The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism With a Key to the Scriptures, dubbed iHo for short, opening at the Public Theater on May 5. Greif and Kushner also collaborated earlier this season for the Signature Theatre’s acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of Angels in America.
In Part 1 of this multi-part series, the pair talk about the origins of iHo's sizable moniker and how an exploration of O’Neill, Williams and Miller brought Kushner to the kitchen sink. To see Part 2, click here.
