Synopsis

The Comedie Francaise performs Marivaux's The Game of Love and Chance and Alfred de Musset's A Caprice. In The Game of Love and Chance, a well-born man and woman are betrothed but don't know each other. Upon meeting, each schemes to switch places with their valet and maid, respectively, to learn the other's true character. In A Caprice, a woman has been married a year when she discovers her husband's infidelity. She schemes to win him back with the help of a worldlier friend.
