Synopsis

The Comedie Francaise performs Marivaux's Harlequin, Reformed By Love and Beaumarchais' The Barber of Seville. In Harlequin, Reformed By Love, the Harlequin character of commedia dell'arte is pursued by a fairy but falls for a shepherdess. In The Barber of Seville, a count pursues a well-born young lady with the help of his former servant, who now works as a barber and is able to get the count into the girl's home and past her controlling guardian, who wants her for himself.
