Synopsis

This operatic adaptation of Elmer Rice's Pulitzer Prize-winning play follows the inhabitants of a tenement building in New York, including a wife and mother whose extramarital affair ends tragically and a daughter who is torn between a studious neighbor and a smooth-operator boss.
