On the Scene

PHOTO EXCLUSIVE: Snapshots of a Day at Peter and the Starcatcher With Greg Hildreth

10 AM: Most two-show days begin with a staring contest between me and my cat, Pigeon. 11:15 AM: I rush outside to hail a pedi-cab from Brooklyn to midtown. 1 PM: We've arrived! He seems a bit tired (or dead?!) Anyway, I have a show to do!! 1:15 PM: I'm receiving a certificate of completion from "Christian Borle's School of Active Verbs and Mugging." It's based on 12 main facial positions. Here's #4, "Indifference." 1:17 PM: Here's #8, "Is Someone Singing My Audition Song?" 1:20 PM: And, of course, #11, "Hand Chopped Off By Trunk." And now we're ready for show #1. 4:30 PM: I'm not eating much in between shows these days. I'm trying to get down to my birth weight. 4:43 PM: I then rush over to the Nederlander Theatre to "help" my "friends" from Newsies, Lewis Grosso and Matthew Schechter "deposit" their weekly paychecks. 4:54 PM: Like stealing candy from two babies...together, they make 6x my salary. 5:00 PM: Time to spend my "winnings" wisely in the Diamond District. 5:42 PM: Now I'm back at the theatre for a quick therapy session with Celia Keenan-Bolger. She's such a good listener. 6:15 PM: Time for some quiet reading. This is considered research for an audition I have coming up for the film, "Benjamin Franklin: Scuba Diver." Then it's time for show #2! 9:34 PM: Back in the dressing room post-show where Kevin Del Aguila, Teddy Bergman, Rick Holmes and myself conduct a prayer circle. Then we head straight home (either Cheetahs or Private Eyes).
