The team at Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark pays homage to the work of
their costume designer, the late Eiko Ishioka, who passed away earlier this
year at the age of 73 (read her obit here). In this video, Ishioka explains
how she took the famous Marvel Comics Spider-Man design and infused it with
her own east-meets-west palette of influences to create a more stylish
and flamboyant iconography for the famous protagonist.
