Tony winner Beth Leavel stars as Florence Greenberg, a New Jersey suburban housewife in the late 1950s who ditches a life of domesticity to take on the music biz. When her daughter introduces her to a local high school girl group, Greenberg takes them under her wing. The girls would go on to become The Shirelles, one of the most successful pop groups of the 1960s. Conceived by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott (Million Dollar Quartet), Baby It's You! features the biggest hits of The Shirelles ("Mama Said," "Dedicated to the One I Love" and "Solider Boy") and songs associated with the artists Greenberg promoted ("Shout" and "Duke of Earl").
