2011 Tony Winner Nikki M. James Joins The Book of Mormon Boys' Club
After surviving a Broadway flop (The Adventures of Tom Sawyer anyone?), 2011 Tony winner for Best Featured Actress in a Musical Nikki M. James knows the difference between a show that has "it" and a show that does not. From the outset, it was obvious to her that The Book of Mormon had "it" — especially considering the pedigree of creators Robert Lopez (Avenue Q), Matt Stone and Trey Parker ("South Park"). What she didn't know was that by playing their Disney-like "brown girl" princess, she’d be welcomed into a genuine Broadway Boys Club.
