'S Wonderful: Song Highlights From Nice Work If You Can Get It in Rehearsal
The cast of the Broadway musical Nice Work If You Can Get It —
directed and choreographed by Tony winner Kathleen Marshall — shared a
handful of George and Ira Gershwin songs for the press on March 14,
the day before the troupers moved into the Imperial Theatre, where
previews begin March 29. In Joe DiPietro's new script, Matthew
Broderick plays a Jazz Age playboy on the verge of marrying for the
wrong reasons when he meets a big-hearted bootlegger played by Kelli
O'Hara. In a rehearsal studio, they sing the show's title song and "'S
Wonderful," O'Hara muses about "Someone to Watch Over Me," co-star
Judy Kaye (as a staunch prohibitionist) offers the obscure "Demon Rum"
and the ensemble dances to "Oh, Lady Be Good." Read more about the show
