Highlights From Broadway in Bryant Park With Chaplin, Mamma Mia!, Silence! The Musical and More
The fourth outing of the 2012 Broadway in Bryant Park series brings Broadway and Off-Broadway and veteran and dawning shows to the outdoor stage in midtown Manhattan's Bryant Park. Now in its 11th year, Mamma Mia! ignited the crowd with hits by ABBA, while Rob McClure of newcomer Chaplin previewed a tune from the show, which has not yet begun its Broadway run. The "house band" of One Man, Two Guvnors, "The Craze," gave a sample of some pre-rock "skiffle" music, My Sinatra offered a taste "Summer Wind" and Silence! The Musical brought its comedic take on the villainous Hannibal Lecter. For more on the Aug. 2 event and the upcoming schedule of performers, click here.
