  • History:

    William A. Brady established the 48th Street Theatre in 1912. It opened with a production of Just Like John, which Brady co-produced with playwright George Broadhurst. A water tank fell through the theatre’s roof in 1955, and with little hope of rebuilding, the theatre was demolished.
